Rovinj is a picturesque fishing port on the west coast of Istria. It just could be the most romantic town in all of Croatia. Old town is built on an island connected to the mainland only in 18^th century and it houses the Venetian-baroque style church of St Euphemia, a popular gathering place for the locals. Windy cobblestone streets, with shops offering local crafts and cafes serving delicious homemade treats, make for a delightful afternoon. Over the years Rovinj has attracted many artists and today art galleries take up attractive real estate and if you find yourself here in August you’ll be able to visit the largest open air art exhibition on the Adriatic Coast. Culinary scene is constantly on the rise and many restaurants are strategically  lined along the sea with tables placed cleverly onto the rocks with creative lighting providing just about the most romantic natural setting. Welcome to Istria!
